Ignacio Cuerva talks to Quien es Quien magazine about the future of energy

Ignacio Cuerva Valdivia updates us on the future of energy in the guide Quién es Quién Empresas de Granada 2022, a publication distributed by the newspaper Ideal on Friday 25 November. This guide is the first business directory to be published in the province of Granada, in which all the leading companies in their sector are compiled, with the aim of giving visibility to the economic strength of the region and generating business opportunities.
The director of Cuerva has been in charge of the Water, Energy and Infrastructures section, in which he has talked about a renewable, digitised and resilient future.
In this interesting article, Ignacio Cuerva highlights the need for a transformation of the energy system due to the crisis situation we are facing: “It is essential that a transformation of our economy, of our society and of the energy system takes place”.
He also points to the short-term future of energy, “the short-term horizon is a system that will initially undergo a transition from fossil to renewable energy, albeit with medium- and large-scale generation and storage plants”.
the future that lies ahead points towards the energy transition: “we are committed to the development of different energy storage technologies, together with sources of short-term flexibility, such as batteries, which will enable the transition towards a more sustainable and resilient energy model”.
Finally, he talks about Cuerva's vision in this process of energy transformation: “At Cuerva we are clear about the need to adapt faster and faster to these changes; that is why, from our vision based on innovation and people, we promote a positive transformation based on collaboration with our ecosystem, made up of different public and private entities and leading startups in the sector”.
