Cuerva strengthens its commitment to innovation as sponsor of the 4th I+DONES Forum in Granada

The event once again consolidates its role as a key meeting point for science, industry and technology around the IFMIF-DONES project
Granada. 16/04/2026. The city of Granada hosted a new edition of the I+DONES Forum, which in its fourth edition has become one of the leading platforms connecting the scientific, technological and industrial ecosystem linked to the IFMIF-DONES project. Held on April 14 and 15, the event brought together professionals, companies and public and private institutions with the aim of promoting research, development and innovation (R&D&I) around large-scale scientific infrastructures.
With the support of leading organizations —including Cuerva, a Granada-based company and a benchmark in the electrical and energy sector— the forum reaffirmed its position as a strategic environment for fostering synergies, creating collaboration opportunities and addressing the challenges and advancements in fusion energy and other major scientific infrastructures.
Bridging science and industry
This year’s program focused on the role of large scientific infrastructures as drivers of innovation. Over the course of two days, key topics were addressed, including industrial opportunities linked to projects such as IFMIF-DONES, ITER and SKAO, as well as the development of advanced instrumentation and emerging technologies.
During the first day, sessions explored opportunities in major scientific facilities, alongside dedicated discussions on instrumentation, nanoelectronics for rapid diagnostics, and 5G/6G technologies. In addition, dialogue between science and industry was actively encouraged through sessions such as “Connecting Industry with Science and Vice Versa” and networking activities.
The second day featured institutional addresses and roundtable discussions focused on positioning the Spanish ecosystem in the international landscape, as well as the role of organizations such as CDTI and CIEMAT in driving innovation in fusion energy. B2B sessions and project presentations also stood out, aimed at fostering consortium building and new collaboration opportunities.
