Description

The INSIEME project has as its main objective the deployment of a Common European Energy Data Space (CEEDS) announced in the European Strategy for Data and the EU Action plan on digitalising the energy system. It enables the secure, interoperable, and ethical sharing, exchange, and use of energy data across Europe.

This data space is conceived as a federated and distributed ecosystem, based on interconnected nodes, where multiple national and regional energy data platforms are integrated under a common framework. In this way, different actors within the energy sector will be able to connect, share, and access relevant data, regardless of their location or the systems they use.

The outcomes are expected to address the challenges fo foster clean energy transition, resilience across use cases addressed and advancing security goals.

Objetives

  • Development of an energy data space that integrates information from different sources, enabling improvements in grid management, energy efficiency, and support for renewable energies.
  • Deployment of a secure and interoperable energy data space with standardized protocols and formats that facilitate reliable data exchange among energy actors.
  • Implementation of a governance system to regulate the operation of the energy data space, defining data management policies and the involvement of key stakeholders.
  • Deployment of an energy data space that is financially sustainable.
  • Deployment o fan energy data space closely linked to other European data spaces and initiatives.
  • Deployment of an energy data space that contributes to various cross-border use cases. INSIEME will facilitate European-scale energy-saving applications, clean-tech solutions, platforms for energy communities and collective self-consumption, as well as services addressing European-wide issues related to the use of distributed flexibility and electromobility.

Cuerva`s role

Cuerva acts as DSO, providing a deployment use case in Cuerva’s distribution network within its Living Lab.
