Integrated Policy of quality, environment, innovation, energy and occupational health and safety

Cuerva is a leading company in the energy sector, founded in 1939, with over 85 years of history and experience. Following exponential growth in recent years and an expanding international presence in Europe and Latin America, we continue to uphold our family values in pursuit of the best energy solutions. We achieve this through innovation and a deep understanding of the needs of individuals, the industry, and society, always maintaining our commitment to quality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, environmental protection, and energy efficiency.

To this end, we have developed this Integrated Policy on Quality, Environment, Energy, and Occupational Health & Safety, which serves as the framework for establishing our objectives.

Our Integrated Management System (IMS) meets the applicable requirements of the UNE-EN ISO 9001, UNE-EN ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and ISO 45001 standards.

The pillars of our policy are as follows:

  1. Innovation, both incremental and disruptive, driven by technology, is one of our top priorities.
  2. Continuous improvement is at the core of our company philosophy.
  3. Customer satisfaction and transparency are our highest priorities. Real proximity to our clients and professionalism are the foundations of our service.
  4. Our internal team is equally important, fostering collaboration to achieve our objectives. Additionally, we are committed to eliminating hazards and reducing risks in our operations by ensuring safe and healthy working conditions that prevent injuries and health deterioration for both our employees and other affected stakeholders.
  5. Effective communication across all organizational levels is essential for continuous improvement, including employee participation and consultation in decisions that affect them.
  6. Promoting the responsible and efficient use of resources, implementing measures to reduce, reuse, and recycle materials generated in our activities.
  7. Enhancing our energy performance by acquiring energy-efficient products and services, incorporating energy use and consumption considerations into the design and value proposition of our services.
  8. Ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations.
  9. Integrating Quality, Environmental Protection, Energy Efficiency, and Occupational Health & Safety into all aspects of our operations.
  10. Adapting our facilities and equipment to regulatory changes, establishing energy efficiency management standards across the organization.
  11. Maintaining a documented management system based on interrelated processes, fully integrated into the company’s overall management, ensuring compliance with this energy policy.
  12. Setting energy efficiency goals, supporting the design and acquisition of energy-efficient processes, facilities, equipment, and services, while ensuring access to updated information to achieve these goals.
  13. Optimizing energy consumption by identifying, evaluating, and managing energy use in our operations, striving for minimization while ensuring the highest quality of our products and services.
  14. Educating and raising awareness among employees about energy savings and efficiency.
  15. Implementing actions and allocating resources to prevent accidents, incidents, and operational deviations, ensuring a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace while preventing any impact on biodiversity and the environment. If accidents, incidents, risks, or deviations arise, we will address them diligently by implementing corrective measures to eliminate them and prevent recurrence.
  16. Encouraging the responsible use of resources and minimizing waste generation from our operations. We promote a circular economy approach by following the waste management hierarchy whenever possible: prevention → reuse → recycling → energy recovery → disposal.
  17. Driving R&D&I projects that strengthen our business lines by applying excellence principles.
  18. Fostering internal and external collaboration with key partners and suppliers to generate mutual benefits and added value.
  19. Securing external funding for R&D&I projects, whether through public funding sources or by monetizing the knowledge acquired from such projects.
  20. Protecting intellectual property, applying the best available mechanisms to safeguard the results generated from R&D&I initiatives.
  21. Ensuring the implementation of innovation outcomes within our organization, promoting their integration into other company projects.
